Sam Reinhart quietly has 18 goals. Can he get to 30? Discuss.

I kind of expected Reinhart to end up a guy that would be kind of like Marc Savard. 20ish goals, 60ish assists. I like what I've seen. I'd like to see him use his smarts to set up guys a bit more often now. Love the growth we've seen from him this year.

It could be a case of ROR getting the helpers on that line.

agreed, I figured when the dust settles he gets 15-20 goals and 50-60 assists

shocked at the current ratio, pleased with the goal production

more assist would mean someone else has to be scoring goals

I think the part about his goals that surprises me the most is where he is when he scores them. Never expected to see him be the guy standing in front of the goalie. He seems to have found his niche though, that's for sure.

I didn't get to see the game last night, but it seems I missed a good one.

I never envisioned him being the next Rick Vaive or Dave Andreychuk

shows great leadership skills by parking himself down low, when you know he is going to get pounded

I didn't either. I know this season hasn't gone as well as a lot of people around here would like, but to be quite honest, I don't have many complaints. I'd be worried if the vets were the ones doing all the heavy lifting and the kids were struggling, but it's completely the other way around.

I think Bylsma has finally really found some line combinations that are working. O'Reilly and Reinhart. Eichel and Girgensons. Larsson and Gionta. Legwand and Deslauriers. Fill in the 3rd guy on each line with the rest. Finding pairs that work well together has really helped move things in a good direction. Hopefully they can continue to build on the success they've been finding lately for the rest of the year. I'd like to see them play at least .500 hockey from here til the end of the season.

the good signs are there

special teams improved big time
risto, eichel, reinhart proving to be legit pieces moving forward
ror being the real deal

lehner, I can honestly say I was wrong about him

a big step was taken this year, make the 2 or 3 right moves and we will be on track

I think that win last night passed our point total of last season. still 20 some games left . Yes we are a better team.
I wasn't judging Lehner on a handfull of games. but he did start off pretty bad.

It's really weird, but if ROR isn't scoring plus Sam's favorite spot in front of the net, it's just the way the line works. Only time Rineharddt gets assists I feel like is on the pp when Jimmy runs the net front.
